All Hobby Lofts built by Red Plaid Developments come with a full 1-Year Warranty on all installation and materials. Additionally, all projects include the Progressive New Home Warranty which covers building and mechanical issues for 5 years and any structural issues for up to 10 years.
A Hobby Loft can be completed in 5 months, not including permitting.
Yes. A Hobby Loft Garden Suite can be designed specifically with your budget in mind.
The elevator system has a battery backup which allows the elevator to work after a power outage for approximately 10 cycles.
No. The Hobby Loft One-Storey Garden Suite is considered slab-on-grade construction. This allows us to eliminate any steps to home entry. We also end up with a gorgeous concrete slab that is supported by engineered screw piles 15’ deep. These go much deeper than a typical basement footing and ensure a very solid base from which to build.
The one-storey garden suite has been designed to maximize functionality and space which means it does not offer a designated flex space.

All layouts and finishes are customizable. That means input from you is strongly encouraged, but we know that can be overwhelming at times. One of our building representatives will work with you every step of the way to make sure the process is easy and stress-free. You can be involved as much or as little as you would like.
Yes you can! In fact, we encourage it and will help in any way we can. Each jurisdiction has rules regarding a ‘home-based business license’ that we can review together to make sure you meet all the requirements.
